Received the P320 Flatty and after a 1 minute install, I can honestly say it FEELS like it reduced the reset. I’ve been a flat trigger junky for years on my 1911’s and my S&W M&P .45 and now the 320. Makes the SIG even more of a jewel to shoot. Thanks Randy and the crew.

The first announcement states it fits all P320 models. This announcement states “not .45ACP” without an explanation. Brownells description states it fits the P320. Some clarification would be nice for us .45ACP owners.

Is the unsuitability for .45 correct? Frames, slides and calibers all interchangeable – I’m scratching my head on this one.

  5. paul - October 16, 2015 @ 4:42 pm

Initial feedback/input from contacts at Sig who tested an early trigger indicated there was an issue. We now have a P320 in 45 and have tested our trigger with it and found no issues. Go ahead and get one. If for some strange reason you run into an issue, call us and bring us up to speed because it would be news to us. Thanks!

I am inquiring about the use of this flat trigger in the Sig P320 .45 as well. I have the trigger for the other calibers and it works great. Can this be used in the .45 or not? If not, what is the issue causing this? I see Paul comment we could however I contacted Apex yesterday and was given a written reply that it is not for the .45. Looking for some clarity as I’d like to use but not looking for any issues. Thanks in advance!

Will this also fit the Sig P250 given that both the 320 and the 250 are essentially the same setup?

  8. paul - December 30, 2015 @ 9:32 am

No. It is not designed for the P250.

  9. Michael Jones - August 5, 2016 @ 7:13 am

When will one be available for the P320 .45?

  10. jc - August 5, 2016 @ 5:54 pm

Any chance of getting this in red?

  11. Brannon Dietrich - August 11, 2016 @ 9:05 am

Want to know if this trigger will fit the sig p320 Subcompact model, as the trigger guard is smaller and rounded instead of square. Are there any know torment issues or problems

  12. paul - August 15, 2016 @ 11:18 am

The current trigger does indeed work in the .45ACP.

  13. paul - August 15, 2016 @ 11:19 am

Yes, the trigger works in the .45ACP models of the P320.

  14. paul - August 15, 2016 @ 11:20 am

It does fit the .45ACP models.

  15. paul - August 18, 2016 @ 8:45 am

Not unless you send it off to be Cerakoted.

  16. Cherwyn - August 29, 2016 @ 11:06 am

We’re not aware of any fit issues.

  19. Al K - September 11, 2016 @ 3:51 pm

Are Sig Apex triggers available in other than black (IE. RED, BLUE, etc.)? If not, what paint is compatible with your factory finish?

  20. paul - September 21, 2016 @ 7:56 am

It is only available in black. We’ve seen this trigger Cerakoted by some customers. You’d have to check around with various custom finishers to see what kinds of coatings would and would not work.

  21. Straycat - November 23, 2016 @ 7:45 am

Is there a flat trigger design in the works for the 250?

  22. paul - November 23, 2016 @ 7:56 am

    No, there is not.

  23. Mike - November 27, 2016 @ 9:47 pm

    Will there ever be a “flatty” for a p226/227 9 and 45?

  24. paul - December 21, 2016 @ 8:08 am

Not likely since those are DA/SA guns and not striker-fired models.

  25. Doug - April 26, 2017 @ 1:02 pm

Why doesn’t it work in the P250 and why isn’t there a P250 model in the works?

  26. paul - May 4, 2017 @ 7:55 am

The P320 is a striker-fired pistol and the P250 is a DAO hammer-fired pistol. The trigger travel is vastly different in each so the P320 trigger is not cross compatible with the P250.
