Apex Offers Full Duty/Carry Trigger Kits for New M&P M2.0

PEORIA, Ariz. – Apex Tactical Specialties, the leading manufacturer of aftermarket drop-in firearms parts, announces the immediate availability of two versions of their Action Enhancement Trigger & Duty/Carry Kit for the new M&P M2.0 from Smith & Wesson.

Available with either a polymer (#100-126) or aluminum (#100-179) trigger body, the Apex Action Enhancement Trigger & Duty/Carry Kit replaces the factory hinged trigger with the more ergonomic and responsive Apex trigger, featuring a center-mounted pivoting safety, and delivers a smoother trigger pull with an overall reduction in trigger travel of approximately 30%. Trigger reset length is shortened and the trigger pull weight is reduced by approximately 1 lb. from the factory setting, providing the shooter with an ideal duty, carry pull weight in the 5.0 to 5.5 lbs. range.

The kits function in the 9mm and .40S&W caliber versions of the new M&P M2.0, but are also compatible with the original M&P 45 model.

The trigger kits include the following:
– Aluminum or Polymer Action Enhancement Trigger
– Heavy Duty 1/8” Sear Spring
– Fully Machined Sear (2 Dot)
– Duty Carry Trigger Return Spring
– Ultimate Striker Block Kit (Striker Block, Spring and Talon Tactical Tool)
– Slave Pin (assists with installation of trigger return spring)

The Apex Polymer Action Enhancement Trigger & Duty/Carry Kit for the M2.0 retails for $119.95 while the Apex Aluminum Action Enhancement Trigger & Duty/Carry Kit for the M2.0 retails for $154.95.

Dealers and distributors can order the new Apex Action Enhancement Trigger & Duty/Carry Kits by contacting Apex at dealer@apextactical.com or calling (623) 322-0200.

Will you be making a forward set regular trigger competition kit for the M&P M2.0 soon?

Just installed the Shield AEK over the weekend and am blown away by the difference in trigger performance. Absolutely phenomenal, and relatively easy once I got that stupid rear sight removed! Now I can’t wait to upgrade the trigger in my full-size 2.0 and find myself checking the 2.0 product page every couple of days…looking forward to that FSS kit!

We’re working on a Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger Kit for the M2.0 right now. It should be available sometime this summer.

Any update on an ETA for the Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger Kit ? I know S&W says you don’t need an Apex trigger with their 2.0, but I beg to differ!

It is being worked on now but we have not yet set a date for release.

Why does one have to buy the kit instead of just an Apex Trigger for the M2.0?

  9. paul - September 27, 2017 @ 11:57 am

Because the trigger requires the sear to function correctly.

I have a smith and wesson m&p 2.0 9mm full length and hate the length of the pull it takes to fire. Which kit do you recommend?

Currently you only choice is the Action Enhancement Trigger w/ Duty/Carry Kit. Part # 100-126 or 100-179. We will be coming out with a Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger Kit for the M2.0, but the release date is not yet locked down. You’d have to wait for the new Flatty if that is the trigger kit you’re most interested in.
