Apex Flat Trigger Compatible With New Walther Q5 Match
LOS OSOS, Calif. – Apex Tactical Specialties announced that their Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger designed for the Walther PPQ line of pistols is also compatible with Walther’s newly introduced Q5 Match model.
The Apex Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger for the PPQ is designed to reduce overall trigger travel by approximately 40% without noticeably reducing the factory trigger pull weight. Featuring an anodized aluminum trigger body with center mounted pivoting safety, the trigger comes mounted on an Apex Tuned Trigger Bar and is a direct drop-in replacement of the factory trigger and trigger bar.
In addition to reducing overall travel, the Apex design provides a smooth uptake and reset, shortens the reset, and delivers a crisp trigger break, giving the pistol a 1911 like feel and making it an ideal upgrade for both competitive shooters and fans of the Walther PPQ.
The new Apex Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger with Apex Tuned Trigger Bar for the Walther PPQ, part #118-110, sells for $129.95, and fits the new Q5 Match, as well as both the PPQ M1 and M2 models in 9mm, 40S&W and 45ACP. It is available for purchase from ApexTactical.com, AIM Surplus, Brownells.com, MidwayUSA and Natchez Shooters Supplies.
Dealers and distributors can order the new trigger through distributors RSR and Chattanooga Shooting Supplies, or by contacting Apex at [email protected] or calling (805) 528-5250.

Thanks.
If possible, Please give us a time frame when trigger set will be available for for SF model?
Regards
Val.
We can't get into the details of the delays. The system is similar but not the same and has required a fair amount of troubleshooting on our end to make a trigger that does all of the things we want it to do.
We're extremely busy right now with a dozen other larger products that require our R&D resources. The SF trigger is in the que for final prototyping, once done it will go through drop testing(OUCH!) and test fire.
With any luck, the trigger will be ready to release by the end of the year.
When you do have the Q5 SF trigger ready to go into production, can you please offer a BLUE anodized trigger version (with black trigger safety blade), so that it will look "right" on the SF and match the available blue anodized mag well and mag base offerings? I will buy one the second it is available for purchase.
Much obliged!
It is the only thing I would change with this pistol. Too much take up in the trigger. The weight I'm ok with, but I hate pulling through a .5" of nothing before the sear trips.
Thanks!
I have your trigger in my poly q5 and loved it . Moved to the steel frame and im really missing the Apex.
The walther "expert" triggers arnt coming to Oz any time soon and look to not meet the updated ipsc rules on trigger replacements which now state if the oem trigger has a safery then the replacement also must have it.
APEX is the only solution
As with other commentators please offer in Walther blue.
Regards
Mark
Do you think you will have the Q5 SF trigger (in blue) ready before Christmas? I need to tell Santa something, and I'd rather get this trigger than another package of tube socks.
Thanks!
I take that back; I’d still buy your trigger even if it was boring ol’ black, but I’d probably cry myself to sleep like a teenage girl every night over what coulda been!
Then I’d probably strip it back down to bare aluminum and anodize it blue anyway, just out of spite!!!
I've been contemplating getting my wife an apple watch. I am perfectly willing to sacrifice her Christmas present if this trigger is released before the holidays. She doesn't know about my plan, but she understands that compromise makes marriage work. She's a trooper. I'll buy her and I matching Apex hats if you can make this happen.
You don't want my wife to be hatless for Christmas do you?
We're on it, I promise. We're making a few little tweaks to get it where we want it and are doing everything we can to make it go.
Note: hope trigger is in Walther blue and not all black. Don’t disappoint me now...
The shop is absolutely slammed and we finally have the next batch of samples in hand and ready for testing. Now we just need to get them tested and approved for production.
Were stalled on the final testing of this due to the present ammo shortage. We haven't forgotten about you guys and are doing everything we can to make it go.
As for your socks, I hope you stocked up on bleach. ;)
Thanks for your teams hard work! Please can I be on an email list, so I know when it gets released , so I can make sure to get my order in ASAP? ?
Thanks
Should we SF owners continue holding out hope or have you given up on this product?
