LOS OSOS, Calif. – Apex Tactical Specialties announced that it will be debuting its latest drop-in aftermarket trigger system for Smith & Wesson pistols when it showcases the new Flat-Faced Action Enhancement Trigger & Sear Kit for SD models, at the Apex booth (#3219) during the 2015 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, April 10-12 in Nashville. Apex already offers two wildly popular upgrades for the Smith & Wesson SD model pistols. The Apex Polymer SD Action Enhancement Trigger reduces pre-travel by approximately 20% and over travel by 10%, while the Apex SD Spring Kit produces a smoother trigger pull and improved reset along with lowering the factory trigger pull weight approximately 2.0 lbs. The new Flat-Faced SD Action Enhancement Trigger, along with the new Fully Machined SD Sear, delivers the same benefits of the Polymer AE Trigger with the addition of a more crisp, consistent break provided by the sear. In addition, the flat trigger design provides for greater mechanical advantage and when coupled with the Apex SD Spring Kit the trigger pull weight drops approximately 3.0 lbs (from factory specs), delivering a major performance improvement over the factory’s fire control system.

The new Flat-Faced SD Action Enhancement Trigger and Fully Machined SD Sear will be available for purchase later this summer. Among the wide variety of aftermarket parts for Smith & Wesson firearms that Apex will be displaying during the three-day event will be prototype designs for various other pistol brands such as Ruger, Sig Sauer and Walther. Apex will once again be selling during the NRA Show and offering special show pricing on much of its current product line including popular items such as the Flat-Faced Forward Set Sear & Trigger Kit, Shield Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Trigger Kit and the Apex Armorer’s Block and Tray.
