Apex's reputation comes from the work we've done on improving the performance of stock, factory firearms. Whether it's a full-size revolver or an M&P, our drop-in aftermarket parts make a big difference, and it's that upgrade in performance that brings legions of shooters to the decision to Apex their gun. When Walther USA contacted us we were pleasantly surprised to find our reputation had proceeded us into the hallways of one of the industry's most respected brands. What was even more surprising was that they asked us to tackle improving the trigger in their PPQ model. If you are unfamiliar with the Walther PPQ, it arguably has one of the best out-of-the-box triggers of a striker-fired pistol. In fact, one of the most common responses we get from those learning that we're addressing the PPQ is, "how can you improve on an already great trigger?" Well, as we say here at Apex....Because we can. At this year's NRA Show in Nashville we showcased a prototype of a Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger for the Walther PPQ. In order to fairly gauge its performance and shooters' reaction to it, we asked people visiting our booth to dryfire first a stock PPQ then one outfitted with the Apex Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger. Their reactions were what you'd expect from an Apex trigger and we documented several of them just so we'd have video evidence. The following video is a compilation of those reactions. So, when will the Apex trigger for the Walther PPQ be available? We're still working on its development, so no release date is set. However, we are hoping to finalize the trigger soon and have it available for purchase in time for the holidays.
