WHAT THIS KIT DOES NOT DO: 

This “Basic” trigger kit is intended to provide you with a replacement Trigger and Sear Actuator only. The kit does not do the following:  

  • DOES NOT make the pre-travel or trigger pull any smoother (you need our Ultimate Striker Block for that). 

  • DOES NOT offer replacement springs to adjust the trigger pull weight. 

(If you want a smoother trigger pull and adjustable trigger pull weight, you will need the complete Forward Set Trigger Kit HERE, or add the Special Sear Kit for Basics Kits - available soon).

 

WHAT THIS KIT DOES (Both components must be installed together, or the pistol will not function properly):  

  • Replaces the factory trigger with an Apex solid body aluminum Trigger with a center-mounted pivoting safety. This trigger, when paired with the included Apex Forward Set Sear Actuator reduces overall trigger travel by approximately 35%. This includes reduced over-travel and creates a shortened reset compared to the factory trigger and sear lever. 

  • Replaces the factory sear lever with an Apex Forward Set Sear Actuator. The heart of the Forward Set Trigger System; this component reduces overall trigger travel by moving the striker release point further forward and allowing the over-travel stop on the Apex trigger to control the trigger stopping point. 

 

Expected Trigger Pull Weight: 

Based on our testing of these kits in the pistols on hand, the trigger pull weight will not change much from the factory trigger pull weight - those collected trigger pull weights range between 4lbs & 6lbs. Your results will likely vary based on the factory sear and striker installed into your pistol.

This kit IS NOT intended to alter the trigger pull weight. It simply replaces the trigger and sear lever to give you shorter over all trigger travel and a shorter reset.

All models of the POLYMER FRAME Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 pistols chambered in 9mm, 40 S&W, 10mm Auto, and 45 ACP.  

 

Does Not Fit These Guns

- Not for use in clones of the M&P M2.0 

- Not for use in Classic (Non M2.0) variants of the M&P 

- Not for use in Shield, Shield Plus, Shield M2.0, or Bodyguard Series pistols 

- Not for use in any other pistols not listed above
