Our New P320 Trigger Bar Kits
So, somewhere around the exact same time everything blew up on the internet about dropping the P320, or hitting it with a hammer [which by-the-way is NOT a legit test of the system's vulnerability to discharge due to impact], Apex had an all new product ready to go.
Yup, we were all set to release our patent pending Apex Forward Set Trigger Bar for the P320. That is until all hell broke loose. Because we're Apex, and we're kinda the guys (and gals) that do legitimate testing on our products, we put this new trigger bar on hold until Sig announced their safety upgrades and we had a chance to test those upgrades with our trigger bar.
As you probably know, we redesigned our three P320 triggers to work in the new upgraded version of the P320. The result of that effort is shown below. You will note that the Flat-Faced Action Enhancement Trigger actually decreased the pull weight by approximately 18%. Yeah, that surprised us, too.
Keep in mind that this testing was done on digital trigger scan device which maps out what takes place during the entire trigger pull. And the results above are from a brand new P320 in a stock configuration with a measured trigger pull weight of 8.0 lbs. Your results will likely vary depending on factory tolerances and how well broken in your pistol is.
Back To That New Trigger Bar
The Forward Set Trigger Bar project began in early fall of 2016 when our first prototype was done. By the time last year's NRA Show took place we had a revised prototype in a display gun to share with P320 fans stopping by our booth, letting them know we were on track for a summer release.
And then Sig-gate happened (everything gets a "gate" these days).
After we got our hands on a couple factory upgraded P320 models we began testing the trigger bar in the stock pistol as well as with the three new versions of our own P320 triggers. It took a little time to dial everything in based on the changes we saw in the upgraded P320's stock trigger performance, but we are finally ready to release these new kits.
The chart below outlines how the Forward Set Trigger Bar Kit performs with each Apex trigger. For those of you who already own one of these new triggers, you will be able to purchase the Apex Forward Set Trigger Bar Kit (Part# 112-041) to pair with your Apex trigger.
You can also use the Sig Sauer factory curved trigger with the Apex Forward Set Trigger Bar Kit for a 20% reduction in overall trigger travel and about a 10% reduction in trigger pull weight. HOWEVER, our kit has not been tested with any other aftermarket parts and we do NOT recommend their use with anything but the Sig factory curved and new Apex triggers. Also, to be clear, these kits are specifically for use in the Sig P320 with the full complement of factory safety upgrades offered through Sig's voluntary safety upgrade.
If you do not have an Apex trigger in your P320 and you want to upgrade with both Apex products, we have combined them into three kits. They are
Part# 112-030 – Apex Forward Set Trigger Bar Kit w/ Flat-Faced Action Enhancement Trigger
Part# 112-031 – Apex Forward Set Trigger Bar Kit w/ Flat Advanced Trigger
Part# 112-032 – Apex Forward Set Trigger Bar Kit w/ Curved Advanced Trigger
Well, there you go. Four new Apex products for P320 owners to upgrade their pistol. Installation is fairly straight forward, as you would expect, and our install video is being edited now. We hope to have that up on YouTube shortly.
These new products will be available for Pre-Order on Monday, February 12 and will begin shipping on Monday, February 19. And, as always, Apex's customer service team is happy to assist you should you have questions about which kit to order or problems during installation.
Thanks and keep up the good work!!
112-030 $119.95
112-031 $124.95
112-032 $124.95
our kitstriggers in that model. Which option you go with in terms of akittrigger is up to youbut the most popular option is the 112-031 which has our Forward Set Trigger Bar and the Flat Advanced Trigger. MSRP is $124.95. Our kits with the trigger bar will NOT function correctly in the M17 models with a thumb safety.I have 2 of the old 112-020 flat triggers.

Contact Apex Customer Service, we are offering free replacements of our original triggers for the P320.
I am a new Sig P320 owner who purchased the gun with the factory upgraded trigger.
I reside in Toronto, Canada. I want to purchase a Flat Face Trigger with the Apex Forward Trigger Bar Kit. I will only be shooting this gun at the range as we cannot legally conceal carry. Can you advise whether part # 112-025 or 112-26 paired with either 112-030 or 112-031...which would be the best combo. The main question is whether you ship to Canada.
Thank you for your time in answering my questions.
Best Regards,
Craig.
If you go with one of the advancing triggers, you will see a reduction of nearly 2 lbs from the stock trigger pull. If you add our trigger bar, that bar will decrease leverage and bring the trigger pull weight back up by nearly 1 lb, but will shorten the trigger stroke movement to fire. It's sort of a give an take.
Thanks for your time!
You deliver in Brazil?
Artur
Not at this time.
No, our trigger bar does not work with the thumb safety models.
No, not at this time.
We don’t offer a trigger bar, but we can offer you the Flat or Curved Advancing Triggers, either will reduce pull weight by roughly 2 lbs.
So...
Any work for for the M17 manual safety yet?
The performance enhancements of your triggers and trigger bar are well documented with the P320 / X5. Do any of your triggers or the trigger bar offer any performance upgrades to the P320 Legion? My goal is to reduce travel and trigger rest while maintaining pull weight from the stock P320 X5 legion.
Thank you
Yes, the reset is shorter with our trigger bar due to our over travel being shorter.
We setup the triggers to break as close to 90 deg as possible, but over travel to the opposite angle as the trigger sits at it's rest position.
If you're running a Non-Legion, one of our Advancing triggers would be your best bet if you want the pull weight lower.
If you want to reduce the overall trigger movement to fire(pull length), our trigger bar will reduce the trigger pull by roughly 35% of it's overall distance, but it will up the pull weight by nearly 1 lb.
What should I order.
Yes our trigger body works in the Legion, but the leverage on the factory trigger is greater than our present trigger so the pull weight will increase. We have a new trigger in the works that will keep the pull weight down on the Legion.
We also have a trigger bar in the works for the Thumb safety capable frames. The Legion uses a Thumb safety trigger bar, so once that one is released, we will offer that for the Legion.
Thanks
Also could you use just the trigger bar and a gray guns adjustable flat trigger?
